What is Visuality?

I guess you can think of it as a scrap book. It's everything that makes me visually happy - my little spot of joy. It's all that encourages me to be creative and makes me think visually, which is my favorite way of thought.

Yigal Ozeri, Jessica in the Park & Megan in the Park, 2009.
Represented by Mike Weiss Gallery, New York.
I have been a fan for some time now. His immaculate work in oil, looking like a photograph until you are nose distance away from the work has been a great source of visual delight for me.  It is an absolute pleasure to look at his work.

Roberto Pellegrinuz, images from Constellations, 2009.
Represented by Pierre-Francios Ouellette Art Contemporain, Paris. Showcased at Volta Art Fair, New York, 2010.
As someone with a visual focus problem, the works of Roberto Pellegrinuz pulled me in immediately.  Created of many layers of clear sheets, marked gently with ink, the effect is charming and reminiscent of those old hologram photos, in which a step to the side created a new image, in this case, a blur, a beautiful blur.

Works by EVOL.
Represented by Wilde Gallery, Berlin. Showcased at the Scope art fair 2010, New York.
Amazing reality, created (or crafted) using some packing cardboard and Spray-paint. I just fell for the simplicity of the work, achieving dimension through using the character of the material itself.  I do appreciate an artist who has the capability and uses it to the maximum. A master in his own style.

At the Animal Collective and Danny Perez collaboration, performed at the Guggenheim Museum, New York, March 4th, 2010.
The performance was a very visual one, as the museum was engulfed in bright, almost blinding lights within its darkened space.
